Grind for Grell 5K

On Saturday March 10th, Lytle High School hosted the Grind for Grell 5k run. A great team made this tribute to Coach Justin Grell a great success. THANK YOU to those that helped out:

Mark Fender- first and foremost because he was my “technical advisor”, without him I would never even been able to get TO the planning stage, much less out of it.

Christina Morales- for handling registrations and keeping all my paperwork straight.

Raymon Van Cleave and all the OPS dept.- keeping the grass cut, marking the route, and setting up flags and cones.

Gilbert Ruiz- for sending me a map of the course he used for our District CC meet, so that I could use the same course, THEN surprising me race day by coming out to help and driving the gator so the runners would know where to go.

Cathy Martinez and daughter- for helping get pre-registered persons their bags on race day.

Robert Mumme – assisting with pre-registered persons as well as on site registration.

Lorri Migura-  for taking pictures of our event and getting the drone up.

We miss Coach Grell, but it was a beautiful morning and it felt like he was there in spirit.
